Use of Tracking

We use “cookies” and other similar technologies on this website. Cookies are small text files sent through your browser and stored on your computer. Cookies allow you to personalize your online experience and save time by storing your preferences and eliminating the need to reenter information each time you visit our site. For example, if you register information with Coastal (such as your billing and shipping address), cookies help us recall that information on your subsequent site visits so you can quickly and easily make purchases. Cookies also help us deliver customized content and advertising to you based on your interests.

We also use social media “plugins” on this site. For example, you can link directly to the Coastal Facebook Page or Twitter Feed by clicking on those sites’ plugins on our homepage. In some cases, both Coastal and the social media site may know if you click on these plugins. Please remember that, as with all linked sites, Coastal does not control the plugins’ information collection practices.

Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer not to accept cookies, you can usually modify your browser’s settings through the Tools or Options menu. Similarly, most browsers offer a Do Not Track feature which, once enabled, signals to sites not to track your online activity. As of April 1st, 2016, Coastal does not currently honor Do Not Track signals. However, Coastal is working with its development team to include code that honors Do Not Track requests and plans to implement the updated code in 2016. Once that system is implemented, Coastal will honor Do Not Track signals, but understand that if you adjust your browser’s setting so that it cannot collect cookies and/or cannot track activity, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the site.

Security of your Personal Information

Coastal secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Coastal secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Changes to this Statement

Coastal will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. Coastal encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Coastal is protecting your information.
