Northwest Hop Harvest Sets New Record
Across the Pacific Northwest, hop growers are expecting a record harvest of 91.8 million pounds this year. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, production of hops has grown 50-percent in the past five years. OSU Honors Master Gardeners
More than 3,300 people have been trained by the OSU Extension Service as Oregon State University Master Gardener volunteers since the program began. This year, 30 of those master gardeners have been recognized for their volunteer efforts that have positively affected their communities and counties. Linn County Circuit Judge Daniel Murphy denied the State of Oregon’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Linn County. Washington State University has reported that the Eggert Family Organic Farm has hit a good stride during its second year at its new location. New Signs Urge Careful Driving on Rural Roads
Rural Marion County, Oregon saw an increase in roadside signs this June. Oregon Aglink and Papé Machinery distributed the signs to promote safe driving around farm equipment. The group hopes to expand the successful effort to other counties in Oregon over the next year.Read More
