Coastal Donates to Deschutes County 4H

August 6, 2018

The Oregon 4-H Foundation has received a generous gift of $127,000 from Coastal Farm. The gift will be paid in two installments to support an educational program assistant for Deschutes County 4-H after Rosie Skinner, educational program assistant, leaves to pursue educational opportunities.

The gift comes on the heels of many years of support from Coastal Farm, which has long been an enthusiastic champion of the Oregon State University Extension Service 4-H program. The company, which has been in business in the Northwest since 1963,  has donated equipment, funds, and personnel resources. Because of their generosity, 4-H programs – including activities like the popular robotics day camp and WILDS nature-based survival program  – continue in a robust way.

“Over the years, they have been such a valuable partner and I appreciate the many ways that Coastal Farm has helped Oregon 4-H,” said Pamela Rose, state 4-H program leader. “This is one more shining example of their extraordinary support.”

The gift was announced Tuesday, July 31, at a 4-H barbecue at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds hosted by Coastal Farm and Ranch.
