Coastal Farm & Ranch has been in business in the Pacific Northwest since 1963 and currently operates 8 other stores, 6 in Oregon; Roseburg, Eugene, Albany, Woodburn, Gresham & Oregon City, and two Big R Stores in Yakima & Wenatchee Washington. The Company employs around 340 people, with stores ranging in size from 25,000 to 60,000 square feet. Product lines include; Work & Western Clothing, Boots, Feed, Fencing, Tack, Animal Health, Pet Supplies, Hardware, Tools, Stoves, Fireplaces and much more.

The Cornelius Coastal Farm & Ranch will employee 40 to 50 people, according to President / Owner, Buzz Wheeler. Buzz commented, "We've been looking at the Cornelius and Hillsboro area for over 3 years, and are looking forward to being a part of such a growing community." The Cornelius store will be approximately 40,000 square feet on the main sales floor with additional space inside and out for a huge selection of steel products including all types of fencing, as well as livestock handling equipment from such names as Powder River, Priefert and Noble. The store will carry an estimated 10,000 pair of jeans and 5,000 pair of boots including one of the largest selections of Carhartt in the Pacific Northwest. Name brands such as Wrangler, Levi's, Cinch, Filson, Pendleton, Rocky Mountain, Cruel Girl, Danner, Double H, Justin, Wolverine & Georgia Boot are just a few of the clothing and boot lines the new Cornelius store will carry.

The Cornelius location will offer a huge selection of merchandise for the horse owner, including over 70 feet of tack as well as saddles, blankets and most anything you need. Coastal's large animal feed and supplement line is top quality and includes Nutrena Feed.

The Coastal store will feature a large stone fireplace and customer lounge. Stoves and fireplaces including pellet, natural gas and wood will be a featured category. Real working displays with name brands such as Quadra-Fire, Lopi and Fireplace Xtrodinaire will give customers a real sense of the operation and look of this extensive selection of stoves and fireplace inserts.

Coastal Farm & Ranch has a unique blend of merchandise that will appeal to city and country folks alike. The new Cornelius location will offer area residents a shopping experience like no other in the area. Coastal Farm & Ranch is looking to expand with more stores in the future.
